PolyLand is an expansive open-world metaverse created by Artigence, designed to provide users with a multifaceted digital space for exploration, social interaction, shopping, gaming, and earning opportunities.
The metaverse comprises 22 distinct islands, each offering a unique theme and range of activities. It seamlessly integrates both in-game and real-life rewards, allowing users to engage with the metaverse in diverse ways.

PROBLEMS WE FACED
In an open world metaverse of Polyland, we’ve crafted expansive and intricate environments that were quite similar to Fortnite and Uncharted. The task involved designing vast landscapes using Unreal Engine, a platform renowned for its complexity. Throughout the development process, we encountered challenges such as chunk loading issues, procedural generation complications, bugs, and the intricate task of managing servers to accommodate a large player base.
Apart from this, the integration of multiple games, mini-games, shops, NPCs, and an array of features within the metaverse presented a significant challenge. Our mission was to seamlessly merge these elements into a cohesive and engaging experience.
OUR STEPS TO SOLUTIONS
- Initiation: We identified the challenges, including chunk loading issues, procedural generation complexities, and server management for a large player base.
- Planning: We formulated solutions to address technical issues, ensuring a seamless user experience within the expansive metaverse.
- Designing: To design environments similar to Fortnite and Uncharted, we tackled integration challenges by designing cohesive landscapes and merging multiple elements.
- Implementation: Our team used Unreal Engine to address technical complexities, resolve bugs, and implement server management solutions.
- Acceptance Testing: Systematic testing verified the functionality of integrated games, mini-games, shops, and NPCs, ensuring an engaging experience.
- Delivery to Client: Finally, we were able to deliver Polyland with a combined team effort.
HOW WE ACHIEVE SUCCESS?
Artigence lead the development of ‘Polyland,’ an ambitious project featuring a multitude of games, including captivating mini-games, all meticulously designed and created within Unreal Engine. This Web3 endeavor achieved immense popularity, garnering substantial financial support through crowdfunding and investments, with funding reaching hundreds of thousands of dollars.
